Swelling on Penis - Sexual Health - Teens Message Board

Ok, I posted this on the Men's Health Board, so if one of the moderators wants to delete one, please delete the one on the Men's Health Board...I was in a hurry and could not explain my problem in depth

Well here it goes:

Yesterday at about 4:00 PM I was about to masturbate when I noticed a small white bump on the left underside of my shaft, very small, but it was a bump.

I didn't really think anything of it so I masturbated, cleaned up and thought maybe it was just something there and I tried to rub it off with a towel, but that didn't work....

Well maybe thirty seconds to a minute later, before I even zipped up, my limp penis began to swell, and it was around the area where the bump was. I got freaked out of course, but didnt know what to do so I just let it be. I checked periodically, though the swelling was only in a small area, and wasn't increasing, the small white bump turned red, and an area of about a cenimeter around it turned red and swelled up from the other swelling spot, not by much. I mean the swelling is noticeable by all means, but not gigantic.

My penis neither hurts nor itches, and I am not sexually active, I have recieved oral and manual stimulation from a girl, but only one, and she's my girlfriend still, but like I said we have not had intercourse.

Unfortunately later that i night I could not practice much needed self control and masturbated again, though I don't think this affected the swelling any. When my penis is erect the swelling isn't noticeable except for the red bump, and the little red swollen area around it, the rest of the swelling is stretched so you can't see it.

What could this be? Any ideas? I'm kinda scared, but decided to wait a few days before I tell my parents and see a doctor.

I'd be willing to bet that this is the beginning of a pimple or impacted pubic hair follicle. Yep, we do get them there and they hurt like heck until they are gone. If this swelling continues and appears infected...then talk with your folks or doc. Don't take chances with this as you don't want an infection there. Since you're not sexually active this probably isn't an STD to worry about. By the way...although masturbating may cause some swelling or soreness, it didn't cause this!

Well it doesn't look infected or anything. And I am experiencing no pain at all. The swelling around the whole area has reduced. The red swell part with the bump in the middle is still there, but I think it may have just been a bug bite or soemthing. It did kinda itch in the beginning, but that subsided, and like I said it doesn't hurt at all....Hopefully it'll clear up sometime soon.

Hey bud, like I said...keep an eye on it and no need to risk a conversation with your parents or a doc unless this thing doesn't go away.
