Here is some advice from someone who has been through the exact same thing. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT TRY TO FORCE THE TAMPON IN!! You could rip your hymen in a way it isn't supposed to be ripped. I had the same problem and I went to my OBGYN and it turned out that my hymen wasn't broken all the way yet and it was preventing the tampon from going in. Also, you may have a thick or strong hymen. Don't worry though, it's not a big deal. You go to the gyno and get a hymenectomy. It's a minor surgery where they remove your hymen and within two weeks, depending on the results of your surgery, you should be good as new. They usually have you come in a few days before your period starts, and during the period you are about to have, you DO NOT where tampons. However, during your following period you may. This is what I know and I hope it helps. I strongly recommend talking everything through with a doctor first. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen. Good luck, and if you want anymore information just ask cuz I'd be happy to help.
