Ever scince I was 6 up untill I was 9, I have been taught that being a lesbian is wrong. I am now 1* and I have been a lesbian scince I was 13 and I am not attracted to guys no matter how much I try. No one knows how I feel and I dont know how to deal with it. Alot of my friends trash talk gays and lesbians and it makes me feel bad. I am extremly confused and I wish that I could find other girls like me that are my age. I dont know what to do! HELP!

Hi Emilie34,
I don't know if this is the place to come for help like that. Too bad this forum doesn't have a gender issues board. Anyway, it's probably going to be pretty tough for you while you're still in high school. That isn't exactly the place where 'different' behavior is widely embraced...(as you have probably figured from your friends' attitudes towards gays and lesbians).

You aren't alone though, unfortunately I couldn't begin to tell you where to go to meet up with other girls like you. Depending on what kind of community you live in, you could talk to your school counselor (there are some high schools with support groups for gays and lesbians). Another thing you could do is try to widen your circle of friends to include more people who aren't homophobic.
