Mental Impotence? - Sexual Health - Teens Message Board

OK, here's my problem. I'm an 18 year old virgin and i just started college a couple months ago. I've been to a couple parties, i've "hooked up" with a couple of girls and everything is just swell. i kinda got tired of that, and i met an incredible girl that i've kindof been seeing for about 2 weeks. a couple nights ago we decided to have sex, we had never done anything sexual before (except making out if you'd consider that sexual) and we started to make out and prepare ourselves. It was then gametime, and when i went to insert, it just went totally soft. we just thought, "ok thats odd, we'll get it back up" so we started to fool around and it just wouldn't come back for the rest of the night. We've tried 2 more times since then with the same results. I don't feel nervous when we go for it, perhaps its some kind of subconcious thing. Maybe i put to much pressure on myself. Whatever it is, i'd really appreciate somebody else's opinion

It could definitely be something mental. Maybe you're afraid of being walked in on by roommate, etc., or you're stressin because it'll be your first time.

Are you on any medications? Some kinds of anti-depressants have sexual side effects.

Lastly, some men find it difficult to maintain erection if they are "inebriated." You mentioned that you go to parties in college, which from my experience usually involve drinking of alcoholic beverages.

HOnestly my first time was a soft blow out. Its just the nerves over whelming you too much.

Just take your time and try again without pressuring yourself.

Make sure you are certain that you want to have sex - sex comes with responsibility and most teens are not ready for this and fall trap.
