What are the chances of getting a girl pregnant if she is on bc? Is it really that common for girls to get pregnant if she is taking the pill?? I always thought that it was like 1 in a million for it to happen. thanks

As long as you are regularly taking your pill and not forgetting or skipping days then it is VERY unlikely to get pregnant. However it doesn't protect against STD's so you should probably be using a condom anyway.

Its like less than a 1% chance of getting pregnant when taking bc. ( Regularly and properly like Tanyaa said ) And also as she said, you should use a condom anyways...to protect against STD's and as an extra backup, because theres ALWAYS a possibility of pregnancy...even if it is a small possibility its always good to use backup, unless you are ready to have a child.

I believe there is about a 1% chance of becoming PG while on BC & taking it properly. I was on OTC for about 2 years taking it every night at (just about) the same time & I became PG whenI was 18. There is a chance, so you if you want to be on the safe side & make sure you don't join me in that 1% - I would suggest using a back up method
