I hardly have any erections anymore?

Hi, I'm 16 years old and I hardly ever get erections like I used to?

About 2 years ago I would always get random erections and it was something really annoying but now I want them back. When I masturbate, it'll give me an erection but I have never actually released semen - is this still considered masturbation even if you don't manage to release semen? I also only have about one wet dream every two weeks and when I watch porn it will most likely only give me a semi-erection. However I get morning wood nearly every morning. Do I have a low libido or something?

Earlier on today when my girlfriend sat on my lap, it didn't give me an erection but last year it would instantly give me an erection and I'm actually kind of worried the day I lose my virginity that it won't pop up and it'll extremely embarrass me.

If I have a low libido, how do I boost it?

Re: I hardly have any erections anymore?

It's possible your body is just settling into a more mature level (uncontrollable erections are the curse of pubescent guys...).

That or your testosterone level has changed, but since you get morning erections and have wet dreams, it sounds like the plumbing is working, it might be mental. Anything else changed? Are you stressed? On any medication?

Re: I hardly have any erections anymore?

I doubt it's something to do with my testosterone. I go to the gym a lot and my mood hasn't really changed recently - I'm never depressed or angry, just calm and laid back. I just feel like I've lost my desire for sex a bit and I want to boost my libido a bit more.

Thanks for the reply

Re: I hardly have any erections anymore?

The most common problems are psychological. And the nature of them can be such that it can take more searching than we're capable doing alone to uncover them.

You might try avoiding xenoestrogens like the oilseed plants: soy, flax, canola, etc. They have estrogenic effects that can interfere with men's hormones and libido.

EDIT - Ohh... I just looked at your older posts. I saw you recently got an adhesion corrected surgically. You're just not going to get random erections like you did before. You were probably getting a lot more random erections than most men get, because you had a really oversensitive area from the adhesion. This is just normal.

The little surgery didn't mess up your penile sensitivity besides fixing the adhesion, did it?

Re: I hardly have any erections anymore?

I don't think it's something to do with my hormones, I think it's physically something to do with my dick. Take notice that when I masturbate, I've never actually ejaculated. I only get erections from masturbating and this adds to my worries a bit.

You could be right about my recent operation on the adhesion I had a couple of months ago. If you mean the sensitivity on the glands, then no, I haven't felt any sensitivity changes after the operation.

Thanks for the reply
