Has anyone experienced increased vaginal discharge from an IUD? I've had a pretty steady amount for the past month and I don't believe it's a yeast infection because the coloration is not the same.
I know IUDs can cause heavier periods because of the irritation -- makes sense to me that with the little string hanging out it could change your cervical mucous as well.
You might want to phone your gyno or whoever put it in and double-check but it sounds reasonable to me.
