lately when i give my bf a hand job or bj, he's ended up with sores on his penis...we are not ready to have sex yet, and i was just wondering if anybody had ideas as to how to avoid this happening...i want to pleasure him, but at the same time i don't want to hurt him...

Use plenty of lubrication - a good hand lotion will work or something like Astroglide. If you do it bare, it can certainly cause friction burns. Using a condom can also provide protection from friction.

we usually do it in the shower with soap...

Soap is a terrible lubricant. My gf and I tried using soap in the shower and I also got a sore. It may seem like it works well during the act but it provides no lube protection.
