Description of the Female Orgasm - Sexual Health - Women Message Board

I am 28 years old and cannot achieve a full orgasm. I am beginning to wonder if I have built the idea of an orgasm up in my mind and I am in fact having them but I am not realizing it because I am expecting more. Descriptions I have found in books and the internet never get specific and I am hoping that one of you or some of you can help me understand what I am missing or that I have already reached the full experience.

In this vein, if you have had an orgasm through whatever means, could you please describe to me the stages or what you felt at each point?

I think that if you are unsure, then you probably haven't had one yet. I mean the first time I had one, I pretty much knew right away. And If you did have one, you wouldn't feel that what you were experiencing was not all that great. I dont know, just my thoughts.
I dont know. Maybe try a vibrator for a while and then you will find out what it's all about. It's a lot easier to have an orgasm with a vibrator than during intercourse.

I have tried using a vibrator and I feel great - I didn't mean to imply otherwise by saying that I was expecting more. I am just wondering what more there is if anything? I agree that I probably haven't and that is why I was hoping for a stage description. In the mens sexual health board someone asked what it was like for a man to achieve orgasm and the descriptions that were given were so detailed and honest that I was hoping I could get the same response on the femail orgasm in this forum. This has been a constant worry for my spouse and I as he is very loving and wants me to be happy and enjoy our sex life as much as he does. I enjoy it but I am always wondering if there is more. Perhaps the problem lies with my self image but knowing what to expect would certainly help me and if I am afraid of orgasming and that is what is holding me back perhaps an honest representation of what to expect will allow me the freedom to let go without fear?

For me it's like I get really wet then I tremble a little and get all fuzy inside Then I get REALLY tight and I can almost feel every vein (not really but almost) in my husbands penis. Then I get really relaxed afterward.
