Question for those who have ever taken Diane-35 for birth control? - Sexual Health - Women Message Board

I am going to go on Diane-35 in less than a month and was wondering what you have all experienced while taking it.Mostly I was wondering if most women experience a loss of sex drive on it or is it just a few.

YO, I just talked to my gf today about the bill control pill, she is on diane-35 and her sex drive has become non-existant, she gets horny about once a month now. Last friday she didn't want to do it, saying she was so tired cuz school etc, and I told her that she always feel like not doing it for whatever not so powerful reason. She said she is concerned that she doesn't feel sex drive anymore, and she told me that she loves me, I am very atracted to her, and she wants to do it, but for some reason at the moment of truth she felt something that was holding her back but didn't know why.

We are going to the gyno together so that she will get another brand of pills, and will have some tests.
If the new brand doesn't help her get her libido back, then we will quit brith control pills.

Diane-35 definetely lowers sex drive a lot, in many women.

I wonder if theres anything you can supplement with that will prevent loss of libido.
Thanks Mr.Nice for responding.I would love to know what BCP your girlfriends gyno ends up prescribing her as so to help with this problem .When you find out please update.

Many women have a very good experience on Diane-35 so i wouldn't take to heart what one person says about the pill. Not every woman experiences a loss of sex drive, i know plenty of women who lost sex drive on ortho-tri-cyclen, too. It just depends on your body.

Using the pill is a really hit and miss process. You have to sample different brands to find the best one for you. Good luck.

For what I've read over the internet, about 50% of women get good results with diane but the other 50% bad results, many take diane to avoid cramps and acne.

My gf now has lots of acne due to diane, depression, and loss of libido. It might work for you however the best option is always to visit a doctor who will tell you which pills are best for you.
