Question Caffeine's affect on our body?

For the past couple of months, I have had some pain in my pelvic area (around the ovaries), in my side and my back. It's not TERRIBLE pain to where I can't stand it... just a little bit of aching. Now, I've been EXTREMELY paranoid about HIV after performing oral sex on a guy, but I was tested 6 months after that and it was negative. I thought maybe the HIV test was wrong and I really do have HIV and that is what is causing the pain but I just have to think the worst of every situation. Anyway, could these little aches be due to too much caffeine? This summer up to now, I drink of TON of cokes and tea and never really have water or anything. I would say maybe it's causing bladder problems but I don't have any pain when I urinate so any ideas what it could be?

If it's pain around your ovaries you could have a cyst or something. You could have endometriosis. I have problems with a cyst on my ovary and pop or caffeine does not effect it at all. I would not worry about HIV from those symptoms. HIV is a blood born virus and you would not have pain in your ovary from it. I would go to the gynecologist and have it checked out to see if it is a cyst or endometriosis. I started having pain in the area you describe and I have endometriosis and cysts go along with that. A person can also get a cyst without having endometriosis it's very common.

my ob/gyn told me that in order to be checked for endomet. that you had to be on birth control for at least three months prior in order to thin out the lining of the uterus before checking. Endomet. can cause other things then pain, such as infertility. Or if you think you could be pregnant that could be another cause because when I was pregnant I ached a lot too.

It could be kidney stones or something else related to the kidneys. You really should be seen by a doctor. I don't know a lot about HIV, but I don't think I've ever heard of it causing pelvic or back pain. I would be more concerned if I had pneumonia or an infection that wouldn't clear up even with antibiotics.

For the record... HIV and AIDs are bood born viruses. You cant contract them from touchinging or kissing an infected person. As for oral sex, when you go down on him you either swalllow or you dont. If you don't then there is no problem. If you do then there is still no problem as his semen is going into your stomach, which is filled with acids. If you have open sores, however, these would give the virus an entry into your blood stream.
A blood test is always a good idea after sex with an infected person.
