What else can be used for back up protection??? - Sexual Health - Women Message Board

I am currently on BC, ortho cyclen.....after a HUGE scare of being pregnant, I decided that I'm not going to be as dependant on ONLY the pill as I have been, and use backup....

I dont really want to make my boyfriend where a condom....considering we both love it without one...but what other things can I use? Are there creams or anything with a spermicide in them?

Any suggestions? We are both clean, so the use of a condom isnt REALLY necessary, unless of course there isnt really another back up plans

There is IUD, diaphram, spermacides/creams. The spermacides by themselves offer little protection. They are generally used with condoms, or diaphrams. You should talk to your dr about this he can help you figure out what is best for you.
