6 Months ago I went to the ER and was told I had a bartholin cyst. It was the size of a golf ball and they simply gave me local anesthesia and used a needle to drain the fluid, sent me home and recommened doing sitz baths. It was not infected and I did not require any medications. It went away. But has recurred serveral times since then I always do the sitz bath before it becomes very enlarged and it seems to go away. This time I have it has been swollen and uncomfortable for about 10 days, the sitz baths have not helped but nor has it increased in size. It is a constant throbbing and moving the wrong way can be painful. I have made an appointment with my doctor but don't know what to do until then. It it driving me crazy.
