Exclamation momentary loss of hearing after orgasm?

My boyfriend and I have been sexually active for a long time, but just recently he started giving me oral. The last two times the orgasm was so good that for the next couple of minutes my hearing was muffled... is this normal? I have heard of girls doing crazy things when they have good orgasms such as bursting out crying, loss of feeling in toes...etc.

I don't know what to think, it's just odd.
It's not bad is it?
Do weird things happen to any of you when you get a good orgasm?

Yeah, that's happened to me before too. It's like my ears pop or something!

Re: momentary loss of hearing after orgasm?

that happens to me a lot too!

I always thought it was so strange...I usually notice it if I sit up or stand up quick after having an orgasm lying down....which would make sense, if you're lying down a lot of blood rushes to your head, and then if you sit/stand up, it will rush down from it.

I've had the same thing happen... to be honest it kind of freaks me out. I think it's from holding my breath or something. It doesn't happen everytime, but about 1 time a month or once every couple of months.

Re: momentary loss of hearing after orgasm?

Thankyou for posting! - glad to know I'm not the only one

Now that I think of it I guess it could be from holding my breath? Before I go my breathing gets shorter and shorter... but I don't know. That wouldn't cause my hearing to actually not work properly? And I'm not jumping up to my feet or anything - It's not blood rushing to my head..

it's odd!

Re: momentary loss of hearing after orgasm?

You also could be hyperventilating, which could cause all kinds of weird symptoms.Marcia

Re: momentary loss of hearing after orgasm?

I get the loss of hearing quite a bit and so has my bf. I've also had my whole face and hands go numb which was not a good feeling.

Re: momentary loss of hearing after orgasm?

I don't think I'm hyperventilating at all when this happens,
but it sounds like it happens to others - so that is comforting.

I'm just curious as to WHY it happens! haha.
