need some advice on dryness - Sexual Health - Women Message Board

Hi All, i have loss of wetness and would like some advice on what to use that is natural to help out, i know there is the ky but i would rather use something that would help the dryness instead of the ky. does anyone know if there is something a dr could subscribe for this problem ? i am 47 and soon to be 48. i love having sex but with the dryness my b/f and i are concerned this is going to interfere with our sex life together. i had a hyterectomy about 2 yrs ago and am taking hormone replacement now. also my b/f and soon to be husband one day wants sex alot and is important to him we fix the problem , i also would like to try and find something to cure the problem. i love sex too but can't stand the dryness problem, we don't always want to haev to have ky on hand, can't always use it in certain situations depending on where you are at, you never know where you will be having sex right? thank you all and i am looking forward to any replies

Hi there,
I'm not sure about a doctor being able to subscribe anything but I would say it's worth an ask. Do you tend to drink a lot of water? If not I would strongly suggest increasing your water intake, it does help. I personally love ky - the warming liquid, it works great and feels just as good if not better. thanks kristy, i'll give the ky warming a try, maybe it will solve the problem. i do need to drink more water too, thanks again for the advice

Astroglide is also a good lubricant. Look on the bright side....the desire and ability are still there......and so is the ky/astroglide !!!

I just started taking a different birth control pill on Sunday and last night I had a problem with dryness. I used a bunch of KY and it just kept getting dry after a couple minutes. I wonder if there is a suppository for vaginal moistness that can be bought over the counter. I have heard of them by prescription. I know that using something like Monoxinol 9 suppositories really makes it moist but that stuff burns me.
