Hi Everyone, I'm sorry if the thread is boring or has been answered before but I am worryign myself sick over this. I have read the answers given on these boards - it's really nice that people care so much and put so much effort in answering.

I'll give you a bit of a timeline - I guess the more detail the better.

I started sex with someone new... after not having regular sex for about 6 months. The week before my period I seem to notice it more but I get a burning feeling after sex - even with a lot of foreplay. I have never had this before. I also note.. that when the sex re started in my life I got back ont the Pill. (I hear this can affect hormones and dryness). The first time I felt like this was after one or two times of unprotected sex with the new partner.

Over the next month or so... I experienced some bladder problems - My bladder felt full, I could only urinate a little... pain as I finished urinating etc.

After a month or so of this (I tried drinking a lot of water etc) I took myself up to the Doctor - told her of my worries - she performed a pap smear and said she would ring with any problems btu no new was good news. I didn't hear from her so I assumed I was fine. She had just said to drink up on the water. Could be a bladder infection or a bit of Thrush. She said the Pap Smear would confirm if I had thrush. (She didn't take a urine sample or anything for the bladder problem).

A month or so later the burning irritated feeling came back after sex (kind of I would start feeling it during sex but would be worse after)... again I noticed it more the week before my period but that could be just in my head as I am sure I have read about people feeling weirdness before they are due and it meaning "something".

I went and purchased some Diflican. One tablet once to get rid of Thrush (Canada?) and waited and hoped for results. I had sex with my boyfriend several days after this and still felt the burning swollen kind of feeling after.

Some times we have sex and it doesn't hurt at all. Whe we do have sex - sometimes it feels "tighter".. but doesn't hurt too much.

I am now thinking I am going to have to go back to the Doctors again. Do Pap smears detect STD'S?

I also have noticed a slight dull pain starting where my kidneys would be.. down to where my pants sit - which makes me freak and think I have some sort of kidney infection. All symptoms with my bladder appear to of disapeared really.. sometimes I feel like I am going to bust and I go and I do not pass a lot of urine.. but nothing like it was. No real pain in my stomach - sometimes a little bloated.. but that's it.

I'm really confused
