Hello everyone. I've been married for 21 years and my husband & I are both 40. My problem is I can't get enough sex and he never initiates it. I could make love everyday and he's content with once a month. I noticed the change in my sexual desires after I stopped taking birth control pills and had my tubes tied (5 years ago). I feel somewhat sexually repressed because my husband isn't as interested in having sex as often as I would like. I am beginning to think I need to find a lover just to keep me sexually satisfied, but I would never want to do that to my husband.

And please don't advise toys, videos, etc because we have all that and it still doesn't make a difference. He just isn't interested in sex as much as I am and it's very frustrating.

By the way, once I get him in the mood, he is really into it - it's just getting him to tune out the world and get him focused to my advances is the problem. Advice welcome. SS

You may have already tried this, but do you wear sexy lingerie? Perfume? Just try to be sexy? Have you discussed this with him? Does he know how you feel?

Ask him to get his hormones tested. It is normal for a man to have the hormones messed up at his age.

Get the Total Testosterone, free testosterone, LH, FSH, and Estradiol E2 tested.

If the Testosterone is low and/or the estradiol E2 is high then the sex drive is gone.

The Testosterone should be in the upper 1/4 to 1/3 of the "Normal" range & the Estradiol should be in the lowewr 1/4 to 1/3 range.

A good T:E2 ratio is above 20:1, below 10:1 he will probably grow boobs. If it is below 5:1 he will grow boobs & lose muscle mass and have no energy at the end of the day.

Testsosterone cypt by self injection twice a week is about $20.00 a month or a daily rub on AndroGel is about $300 per month.
