Bloody Discharge after sex?

I have had about 15 partners in my lifetime, and a few weeks ago, my current boyfriend and I had sex for the first time together. The last time we were together, was I think Tuesday, and he went a little too far in there and I kind of jumped back a little because it hurt. Ever since then, I've noticed a small amount of bloody discharge. I didn't notice any of it yesterday (Thursday) but last night we had sex again, he didn't go to far like he did the last time because I told him about it. But I noticed this morning I'm having bloddy discharge again? What happened? When will the bleeding stop? It's kind of annoying and has a little smell to it?
Thanks for any advice.

Are you close to getting your period, or have you recently ended? Are you on BC and possibly just spotting? If he went in a little too rough too fast and you were not naturually lubricated enough, it could be possible that he "cut" you inside. If it doesn't stop soon, I would make an appt. with your gyno.

Good luck.

Re: Bloody Discharge after sex?

Yes, I got off my period about 2 days before we were together last week. But I was off for about 1 week when this started. Not on birth control. I think he may have did something a little too hard. But I just needed some advice, and if someone else has ever had this problem

Re: Bloody Discharge after sex?

I am having a similar problem. I was having bleeding after intercourse with some people but not others. My Gyno said that i have a sensitive cervix that bleeds when touched. I had chlamydia and was treated and she said the bleeding would probably go away and was caused by the infection.

I recently started having problems again with my partner. I have a bad tearing pain and bleeding when i have sex. Its like I became a virgin again (although i never had pain my first time). I think I may have scar tissue that is ripping when i have sex. I think I may have a serious problem and have an appointment for tomorrow. I have read it could be caused by several serious problems.

Im scared!

Re: Bloody Discharge after sex?

A friend of mine mentioned that this happens to her and she was told by her doctor that the tissue on the cervix gets thinner/more fragile as we age and this causes the bleeding.

A doctor i once spoke to basically told me that certain positions will do that to you and the best position is the old missionary style.

So i don't know what to believe, but i did feel a bit self conscious with my partner when this began happening and i made a comment that i must be the "bloodiest" person he's been with. He doesn't even bother about it and he told me that bleeding during sex is more common than i had thought. This made me feel better and also the fact that he simply grabs some tissues and wipes up the mess and gives me a cuddle.

I also bleed VERY easily during papsmears to the point they can't get a proper result and i have to get retested. My gyn told me that it's all due to my cervix having such thin tissue. He did mention that there is a procedure to toughen the skin, but that this could cause other issues and if i can handle it then best to leave it alone. Now doctors are usually more than happy to conduct procedures, so maybe he is right in saying to leave it alone.
