Low Sex Drive? - Sexual Health - Women Message Board

Hi-
I'm a 30 year old female and this is the first time I have been to this forum.
Here is my situation...I like having sex once my husband and I are into it, but getting myself aroused is difficult. My husband is a very attractive man, and I love him very much...I just don't understand why I don't have that desire to have sex, to just want him right then and there. We have 2 young kids, 3 and 5...so I know that is a factor, but I also know it can be better, much better.
Is there something natural I can take to help? I'm even willing to take a prescribed medication if need be. But, I don't have a appoinment with my OBGYN until August.

Kids are definately a factor and especially that young. Everybody is tired and not in the mood after a day with kids. It happened to me. Got better as they got older. I am afarid to take meds so what worked for me was fantasizing way before the deed. A steamy romance novel or a spicy movie. I am a fifty yr old female and still have an active great sex life. I am a bit terrified that it may be all gone since my full hysterectomy 4 weeks ago. I will be given the go ahead in 2 weeks and hope it is still as good as it always has been. Hope what little bit I said helps.

I am 40 and have the same problem. I have a 5 year old and work a full time job and do chores upon getting home. When it's time for bed, I want to sleep. I did ask my gyno about something for women. He said that there is nothing on the market for women. He was sorry and wished he could help. He said that he is asked that question several times a week.

Hey all you ladies with the blues. The key is definitely to get the steam started the day before or the morning of that so-called "chore". Do you remember the days when all you had to do was look at each other and there was "WOW"? Talking about that is a little something to start it up. Maybe tell him to wake you up with a light nibble on the neck and then say something you may favor in your ear. Then you keep talking about that during the day-the crock pot heats up. Works for me every time.
