HELP! Chronic yeast infection? - Sexual Health - Women Message Board

Hello,
I'm a 24 yr old female. I was treated with broad-spectrum antibiotics a year ago and have had no relief from constant irritation/itching/tingling down there since ending this treatment. There is also some thick white discharge which dries on the outside too. The symptoms were mild for a while, but got really bad when I started taking oral contraceptives, which I have discontinued. Over the year, I have self-treated 3 times with over-the counter antifungal creams/tabs, and have had a round of Diflucan with very minimal relief. All STD/HIV/yeast cultures have come out negative several times. I have started probiotic treatment about 2 weeks ago, and I'm taking garlic capsules. I eat very little sugar and only drink occasionally. My doctor doesn't seem to think that there is much that can be done. Can anyone help me out?

Before posting on a board, please read any relevant stickies at the top of the board. There is a sticky on this board that states that this type of question does not belong on this board, it belongs on the Woman's Health board.
