pubic hair itching

So just the other evening I started getting an itch in my pubic hair area. I don't shave that area, I'm not sexually active, I haven't shared sheets, towels, or anything with anyone, so I don't think it could be pubic lice or crabs or any of that. So my question is what can this be? It's not as itchy today as it was yesterday, if that helps any. Also when I look at the area, I don't see a rash or anything. It's just itchy. Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: pubic hair itching

I'd say it's probably just chafing and irritation, probably since the weather is getting warmer. I wouldn't worry about it unless it persists or starts to itch more toward the inside, where there isn't any hair.
