I know...very weird question?!! But...it's something I can't quite figure out? I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 2 year's ago and Iam currently on 88 mcg of levothyroxine...synthyroid. I really think this is related to my thyroid condition? The day after I have a orgasm...I get very cranky, I literally get nauseated and extremely tired? This will go on for a week at the most? It's strange I think and just wondered if anyone else has dealt with this? Thankyou.

Hypothyroid can affect your emotions, stamina/energy as well as your physical health but the nausea doesn't fit. I've been surgically induced hypothyroid since I was 17, now 45 and I have had issues with moodiness, depression, and lethargy/fatigue but only when my synthyroid needs to be adjusted and no Dr has ever attributed digestive symptoms (other than constipation ) to my disease. If you really believe that your symptoms are a direct result of hypothyroidism and/or your currant synthyroid dosage you owe it to yourself and your partner to involve your Dr and investigate the causes to determine the best treatment plan to eliviate or at least reduce these troublesome symptoms.

I've been dealing with hypothyroidism for years now and am quite well-read on it and I have never heard of an orgasm causing those symptoms. If anything, you should feel better! I do know that being over-tired can cause nausea as I get that way if I don't get enough sleep for several days in a row. I get very cranky and sick to my stomach. All it takes is Tums and a good nights sleep to get back to normal. GET MORE REST!
