Loose after pregnancy.

I have three kids, all born vaginally. After the first baby, there was hardly any difference at all, not that much more with the second. But certainly after the third, my partner tells me I am quite loose.

I do the right exercises to try and tighten he muscles around my vagina and I think they help somewhat, but no, it's never the same after having a kid, or two or three.

Would anyone have a solution to this? I have heard there is surgery that can be performed to tighten up the area?? How does that work?

Re: Loose after pregnancy.

I've never heard of such a surgery... and I would be weary of having any procedure like this, especially since the solution can be very simple.

I'm sure you know about Kegel exercises- the key to these sorts of exercises though is patience and persistence. However, there are ways to help you perform these exercises more efficiently- such as Ben Wa balls. There are many types that help tighten and strengthen the muscles of your vagina. They come in many variations- some even vibrate to encourage you to hold it in and thus, tightening the muscles in the process. Once you get the a good grasp on using this tool in private, you can even perform daily tasks while having them inserted to help promote continual tightening of the vaginal walls.

The process can also help to stimulate for a more pleasurable experience during sex.

Re: Loose after pregnancy.

For some women who have either had multiple vaginal deliveries and/or large babies, vaginoplasty is an option that some women choose but it's considered cosmetic by most insurance companies. However, some women and their Drs have had success in prooving medical necessity if there is prolapse of the pelvic organs and atrophy of the vagina years before menopause. You can look into that if you think it might help.
