Hello,
I have been married to my husband for 5 years, 2 years ago I got a iud because I kept forgetting birthcontrol pills.
I removed the IUD after it started to become painful durring sex.
My husband has a larger member..
So the IUD has been gone for a year & I still feel pain durring sex.
I kinda slurred it off thinking it was just in the wrong spot.. But now I'm startig to get concerned.
My cervix is hard & very low.. It's painful durring sex.
I was even starting to feel pain durring anal,
Then finally pin-pointed that he was hitting my cervix which made it painful.
By inserting my finger in my vagina I can feel my cervix with only 2 inches of finger, not even at my first knuckle. Is this normal?
I don't remember it ever being like this.
I'm waiting to get in to see my family doctor who is away currently..

Is this normal? What should I do

This isn't the type of problem a family doctor could help you with. You need to see a gynecologist. I'm not sure what your laws are up there in Canada but perhaps you require a referral from your family doc first? I personally would only trust the word of a specialist in this case because a family doc's abilities to figure out something as complex as reproductive organs is very limited. They are more suited for your general stuff like diagnosing a cold or the flu and prescribing antibiotics.

I don't believe the iud could have caused your cervix to move, but I think it's possible that it may have been that way all along and you didn't notice it before. In any case, please see a gyne for this because they are specifically trained for exactly this type of problem.

My family doctor is amazing. I love her so much. Best doctor I've ever had. I had to get referred to a gyno for my IUD & he was not a nice person & I don't want to go back to him.
