| Bleeding during intercourse
I am 26 years old and have been sexually active for 6 years. I have been on birth control pills for that same length of time. 2 months ago I switched to Microgestin and have cycled through the first 2 packs at the advice of my Dr. I have had no side effects and overall and very happy with the pills.
This week on Tuesday I was having sex with my bf and he noticed that I was bleeding. Nothing hurt, he and I have had sex several times before. Turns out I had been bleeding almost the entire time and had soaked through 5 layers of blankets, sheets, and a towel on my bed. He is a little longer than I've had in the past and I did feel some discomfort when he would go in all the way. I went in the shower and cleaned up and 2 huge chunks/clots of blood or tissue came out. By huge I mean the size of a small fist. The bleeding stopped pretty much immediately after that. We tried sex again last night and the same thing happened, though not nearly as much bleeding during sex.
Can him bumping my cervix somehow cause this to happen? I understand some bleeding but the clots are strange. Anyone have any ideas? I have an appointment with my Gyno Saturday but would love some feedback beforehand.
