Painful sex for my partner due to my muscle contractions?

I really need some help. Over the last 2 years, whenever my fiancée and I have intercourse, it is VERY painful for him, due to my vaginal muscles tightening/tensing up. I am trying to understand why this is happening because I am relaxed. The best way for me to describe it is that it is almost like I am making my muscles contract, without actually putting any effort into it. Most times it is so strong that I actually push him out of me, and it is causing him a lot of pain. I am embarrassed because I don't know what I am doing to cause this. It also seems like the more sex we have, the tighter I get down there. He tells me that I need to relax and not think about it, but how can I not think about it when I know that I am hurting him?? I am not in pain at all when this is happening, its just frustrating and embarrassing because it seems like I can't control what's going on with my body. I want to be able to understand why my body is doing the things it is doing. I have never had this problem prior to 2 years ago. I am 31 years old and it's getting to the point where I am not interested in have sex because I know I am going to end up causing my fiancée pain. Please help!

Re: Painful sex for my partner due to my muscle contractions?

Interesting that this is causing him pain since "tightness" is thought to increase pleasure for the man. Of course, "pushing him out" would end the encounter but sounds like it's also causing him physical pain.

Pelvic floor physical therapy can be helpful for women who have tightness in that area. But for women I know who've used it (with success), they were the ones experiencing pain, not their partners. May be worth checking into it to see if it helps you.

My thought would be that you may be relaxed, but does your inner self want him...In order for a woman to enjoy intercourse she must welcome her partner...Otherwise she both closes the door to her mind and her body to him....My best to you....ILD....
