Lady's how important is it for the guy to make the first move either towards dating or sex? I have been having a hard time lately finding dates. I think this could be because of a lack of effort on my part. IM a good looking guy so IM told. I am kinda shy and laid back so a lot of the time I dont make the first move and I think this could be costing me a lot of opportunity. How important is it for the guy to make the first move?

If I had to make the first move I would never have a date cause I am too shy.As a matter of fact, a guy may have to ask me out many several times before I might even have enough guts to say yes.

It's not really important as to the guy having to make the first moves for the date and for the sex. I have done both before. But, don't be caught back by "should I" or "shouldn't I", if you see someone you like, go for it. Just ask her out. It's not like it was in high school, if you asked a girl out and she's gonna make fun of you for it. Just go for it, i mean really, what do you gotta loose??

There are girls who would not hesitate to ask a guy out, and girls who would rather roll naked on hot coals than even think about walking up to an attractive guy.
Everyone's different, so don't assume that because they don't directly ask you out, they don't think you're attractive, and don't want to date you. You might be surprised how many secret admirers you have! I know my bf has no idea of how attractive he is, and that when people talk about him, they call him hot. The same could be true for you.
So like Vegged said, just GO FOR IT!!!

It's very important to me that the guy make the first move dating-wise. I am way too shy to do anything myself. However, I don't want a guy coming on so strong that it's agressive.
As for the sex, are you talking about with someone you're dating? In that case, sex can be initated by either party. No prob with that.
If you're talking about making the first move towards a stranger for sex, then get lost, not interested. (But I'm hoping that's not what you meant.)
