Post Question of conception

My question is about conception. I was wondering if my hubby and I should consult a doctor to see if he's infertile or if we should keep trying. We've been trying for 2 months and nothing has happened. He and his ex had sex nearly every day w/o BC or protection for over a year, and never got pregnant. But she recently had a baby. We're young, dont do drugs or drink, but I do smoke. Are there things he should do or I should do to help influence it?
After he ejaculates in me, I've noticed quite a bit of it coming back out. I've tried elevation after intercourse, but nothing works. Please help.

Two months really isn't very long. You should probably give it more time before you go to a doctor. I can't think of anything you could do to improve your odds other than make sure you're doing it when you're ovulating (and you should quit smoking, for the baby's sake, if not for your own). For him, I hear keeping his boys cool helps, so he sould wear boxers, and avoid mountain biking or any serious cycling (the seat is known to damage the area). Anyway, give it more than two months. If you don't feel you can wait, the doctor will be able to check his sperm count.

Ok semen will leak out that is completely normal because the vagina is not an area that can be completely sealed so stuff leaks out after sex.
Now two months by far is nothing to worry over. For a normal helathy coupleit can take up to a year for pregnancy to occur.
Just because his first wife didnt get pregnatn during that year doesnt mean there is a problem with him.
So relax enjoy making love because once a baby comes into the picture is gets hard to find the time for each other.
You can get the book Taking Charge Of Your Fetility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understnad your cycles better and when to time sex so that it has the hishest potential to get you pregnant.
Go through your DH's clothes and pack awayt eh tight jeans and pants. Throw out any tight underwear and have him wear boxers or boxer briefs. No more hot tubs, hot baths or saunas. Also if he rides a bike he needs to cut back or stop and find another way to exercise.
It actually was smart of your to elevate your butt after sex. You need to place a pillow or two under your butt to get the right angle. Also stay like that for aobut 20 to 30 minutes. Keep a book or something to do nearby so yhou dont get bored staying like that.

With our first son it took about 6 months(we werentreally trying all that hard just enjoying tons of sex) to conceive him. Our second though we had to deal with secondary infertility and it took over 3 years(after a year I started seeing doctors like crazy). We are currently ttc #3 and so far it has been 11 months and no luck.
But like I said on average a normal healthy couple can take up to a year to conceive. So relax and keep trying.

omg, you need to read taking charge of your fertility by toni weschler. every woman should, but ESPECIALLY if you're trying to concieve. i just got the book yesterday and couldn't put it down. she has answered every single one of my answers concerning conceiving, cycles, well anything that has to do with the female body (and male for that matter). i'm telling every female i know about it!! you can read part of it on amazon.com. i did and ended up going to the library the next day to get it. (and i hate books!) anyway, i was afraid my dh and i would have trouble conceiving, but after reading the book, i feel extremely confident in knowing exactly how to when we're ready.

in my opinion if you are worried...then goto the doctor I do not think you have given yourself enough time.. I have been with my husband for four years and we still are childless we have been trying for years...we have not had luck but if only to ease your own fears ..find out for sure it will not hurt anything to find out after two months....if you are stressing about it it will make it much harder to conceive...stress and worry have alot more to do with it than you would think....I have tons of info on the subject if you are interested...e-mail me I will send it to you
