Discharge 24 hours later? - Sexual Health - Women Message Board

I have been taking Ortho Cyclen for 3 years religiously. I have not missed a period in those 3 years. I am in a serious, monogamous relationship. My recent Pap Smear was normal.

My boyfriend was away for 2 weeks. Upon his return, we had sex an average of 3 times a day. A week later, we had a night where we had sex twice. Both times, things got really steamy and rough. Lubrication was not a problem.

24 hours later, I had a light brownish discharge after I went to the restroom. Paranoid, I checked it every few minutes. It only lasted an hour or so. There was no blood in it and it had no odor. I am not due for my period for another week.

Could this be from things getting rough the night before? How can you tell if its spotting from possible pregnancy or just natural discharge? Thanks!

Sounds a bit like you might have bruised your cervix due to rough sex! it's nothing to worry about and usually goes away in a day or two. Don't indulge for a few days, and if it doesn't go away, go to the doc.

The brownish discharge could be clotted blood from some overly vigorous sex. This is something I've noticed on occasion and can look a bit like menstrual flow when tapering off at the end of your period.

It's probably nothing to be worried about.

It has not continued and hopefully it was just from too much "reaquainting" with my better half..
