My girlfriend has a cool nifty pamphlet (may not be your BCP type), but it says you start it on the first day of your period, and from the first day you take it you are protected from pregnancy, you should use other forms of BC for the first 7 days, and after that you are fine. Her gyno told her this exact same thing. And my lady also told me that thr reason they ask you to take the pill at the same time everyday is so that you get in the habit. I am going off of reiable sources, and it took me a while to beleive it, until she showed me her cool little pamphlet that came with her pack of BCP.
