there's lots of info on the web on all the different kinds of bc...do your research. there's even lots of posts on these boards. different types of bc have different effects on each woman. if you've read any of my posts on this subject you can tell i am anti-depo. (the shot) it has had so many bad side effects on so many women, including myself. actually i haven't heard many people say anything good about it. a lot of doctors wont even consider giving it to their patients, expecially if they are under age 25. talk to different women about the type of bc they take. you also may want to consider the "natural" bc method called the fertility awareness method (fam). you can learn all about it by reading (and i suggest every woman read) "taking charge of your fertility" by toni weschler to learn virtually everything you ever wanted to know about how our bodies work, and then some. you can even read part of the book on amazon.com. like i said, just do your research before making such a big step. good luck.
