Any one else on Depo notice that their skinis terrible or is it just me? I have wicked acne on my back and thighs after I get my shot and just about when the acne goes away, it's time for the shot again. My skin seemed better on the pill but I had other problems that outweighed that particular benefit.

My daughter is on the depo shot she has had 2 so far and her skin gets little pimples on it back, face and chest mostly but they are very small her biggest prob has been weight gain. The doc gave her prescription ance meds for it. Face wash and something else.

oooh those shots are EVIL!!!! they did awful things to me.i was on them after my son was born. the weight gain was awful. but the worst part was that it killed my sex drive. i don't recall acne trouble though.

Acne can be a side effect from Depo. My friend had acne really bad after her shot at first but it cleared up after she went to her dermatologist. She hasn't had any problems since and shes been on the shot 5 years. On any birth control its really important to watch what you eat and excercise or you will gain weight. Depo can be really bad in that area.

Sunflower watching what you eat and proper exercise doesnt always help.
In the six months I was on Depo I gained over 50 pounds. It is funny in a way because I had lost mostof the weight I had gained during my pregnancy and only had like 10 more pounds to loss. Well i got my first Depo shot and the weight just kept piling on. Dh and I could not figure it out. I was an exercise freak then. I was also on the slim fast diet(which was working great until the Depo shots).
So just because I person is exercising and eating a proper diet doesnt mean they wont gain weight from being on Depo.
