2. the "swab test" DOES NOT test for Herpes 1 or 2 or HPV. There is no test for HPV unless you have an actual lesion or wart. The only way to test for herpes, either type 1 or 2, without symptoms being present, is by blood test. Hepatitis, and I believe syphilis, can only be tested by blood. HIV can only be tested via blood test or urine sample. There is no test for Molluscum Contagium unless there are symptoms/lesions present. I believe the only STD's which can be tested via swab test are trich, gonnorhea, and clamydia.
