I went to the doctor the other day for an exam and he proceeded to apply some kind of acid to my warts on my butt. The actual procedure wasn't really too bad, a little uncomfortable. Well now, two days later, I'm still uncomfortable back there, and have even noticed a pus type substance in my underwear, and when I clean back there with a wet cloth, I'll get small bits of rubbery skin. I assume that is the end result of the wart coming off, but what about the white pus type substance? Anyway, I'm just looking for info from other people who had their anal warts removed, how was it immediately afterwards and for the week after. I go back in two week for a follow up. Thanks for any info.

Hello! I haven't had the acid applied, but i have used the aldara cream as well as having them cryo'd off. the aldara cream was horrid! I got the same sort of thing that you got. ...itching and burning...red inflammation...skin looking like blisters almost...and skin coming off. Man it was horrid. My dr said it was just a reaction that my normal skin down there had to the aldara. She decided to have me stop using the aldara and do cryo instead...and that worked so much better....my warts were nearly all gone within 4-5 days. It was awesome...although very painful during the procedure. After I went home after she "froze them off" the pain went away. So if you can tolerate the pain for a little while...i would recommend this...although I havne't heard of anyone else's opinion of it yet. Also, I have a few (about 4) left after the first freeze off....i originally had about 40. I was saposed to go back in one week but ended up getting the flu the morning i was saposed to go back ....so had to reschedule my apt for 2 weeks later. Well, I have experienced a small amount of itching just this week. I don't know if it's due to the warts growing back or what. Anyways...hope i helped...and i see that you posted a long time ago...if you have any new info from you doctor since your last post I'd love to hear it!
