timetable for the clap

I have been in a monogomous relationship for a year and a half. I have been faithful and I know she has to. I have been having a problem on and off for about 7 months now. after I engage in intercourse I get red spots on my penis, they last about 30 minutes and then they go away. I have been tested for herpes HIV, and syphillis, all negative. around that time I had a sensation in my penis that felt like i had to pee and i dribbled a little after i peed. I went to a urologist and he checked me out and said i was fine. everything went away, except for the red spots, and I pretty much forgot about it. This morning I wake up and peed and felt a slight burning sensation... an hour later went up to take a shower and what looked like pus came from the tip of my penis. I called the dr immediatly and scheduled an appointment for tomorrow morning. my question is this. If this is chlamydia or gonnarhea would it take this long to show up, mind you we are talking 2 years. is it possible that my g/f has not shown symptoms either. I was on a bunch of antibiotics during this time also from being sick or what not, would the zithromax not have knocked it out of me.... please help before I go in and face the dr tomorrow

I just wanted to tell you that everything will be okay, you'll be fine, don't worry. Just talk to your doctor and don't stress until then. I'm sure your girlfriend will be on your side no matter what.

Re: timetable for the clap

Zithromax is one of the antibiotics prescribed for chlamydia but not usually for gonorrhea. Since these two diseases often occur at the same time, doctors will prescibe a combination of antibiotics.

As for your timeline, gonorrhea infection usually shows up 2-10 days after infection, but a small number of people can be symptomless for a few months. Not years. Chlamydia produces symptoms 1-3 weeks after infection.

The pus from your penis is a sign of both chlamydia and gonorrhea, but you need to be tested to be sure it is not something else. Given that you have been on antibiotics since being with your current sexual partner, in my opinion if you have either of these diseases it is a new infection that you got from her, not from someone two years ago. Your doctor can take your history and give you better advice, though.

Good luck!

Re: timetable for the clap

is it possible that my partner and I have just been reinfecting each other since the symptoms come and go?... I assure you I did not get it from my recent partner. I know this for a fact. soo in less we have passing it back and forth I did not get it from her. But why has she had no symptoms?... this is all very confusing

Re: timetable for the clap

Wait for a diagnosis and if you're still confused, we can help you sort things out then. Speculating on who gave what to whom is fruitless if you don't know what you have.
