2 weeks ago i was fooling around with an exboyfriend. even though we didn't have sex, exactly 7 days later i had severe itching around my cit area. it was really red and swollen but that was it. my dr. thought it was a yeast infection so i treated it for that, but that only made the itching stop. it has been 7 days since my problem started and my clit area is still swollen and looks like raw skin. There aren't any bumps but i think i have the symptoms of herpes. i also happened to have a cold this week and my sore throat won't go away.

Do you think these are signs of herpes?
Is it possible to have the disease and not have sores?

majority of the ppl have herpes type 1 which causes those cold sores, its different from herpes type 2, the std.

You can get HSV 1 on your mouth or genitals.. and you can get HSV 2 on your mouth ( rarely does this happen) and on your genitals. So in a way HSV 1 is an std.
