Question I've researched n' researched... What now...

-Small flesh colored bumps- no pain
-MILD itching
-No stomach problems
-A little brown discharge...

that is my symptoms... What is the case do you think?

In women, the warts occur on the lips of the vagina, inside the vagina or around the anus. Anogenital warts may be itchy. Women also develop cervical warts, which are flat lesions invisible in their early stages. HPV infection is one of the most common causes of abnormal Pap smear tests.

If that is true... Then wouldn't my pap smear come back abnormal if I just got it done alittle more than a month ago... (july 7th)

I jsut don't undersatnd what I have... I can't go to the doctor without my mom knowing... And I cant' tell her I have genital warts... :'(

There is no way to know what you have. Only a doctor is going to be able to tell you. It is quite possible that your pap smear was normal, yet you still have HPV. You could have been infected AFTER the test, or the test didn't catch it. Or you don't have cervical HPV, which a pap would detect, but rather one of the strains that causes visible warts.

Of course, you don't know that this is HPV. Again, you need to go to a doc to get a proper diagnosis. If you don't want your mom to know, try going to Planned Parenthood, or contacting your local health department. You can find Planned Parenthood on-line. You can look up both PP and the health department in the phone book.

Or you could just tell your mom that you think you have a yeast or bladder infection or something else and think you need to see a doctor. Lots of women get these, and it has nothing to do with sexual activity.

Good luck.

First of all hun you are going to need to go to the doctor or your local health dept because if you have HPV you are going to need to be treated ((the warts themselves to prevent them from growing)) and you are going to have to get a pap smear to find out if you have any dyplasia, which means wart growths on your cervix which can cause cervical cancer. Please do not feel ashamed, I dont know your situation totally, but I caught HPV after my husband @ the time cheated on me, he tried to blame it on me and treated me like a leper, I went through rounds and rounds of treatments for the warts themselves and also had to have cryo surgery. I am now happy to say I am wart free and my paps have come back normal. You are going to have to tell your mom you need to go to the Dr, the more time you wait, the worse the situation will get. Maybe it is nothing, but you need to get something done, until then if you have any sexual partners, make sure he wears a condom, you also need to tell the person you have been sleeping with he/she needs to be tested as well and needs to seek medical treatment. If you need to talk, PM me, I dealed with this crap for two years and am finally starting to feel better about myself now

I know it is scary. But it is entirely possible that there is nothing wrong! And even if something is, once you know, you can take steps to deal with it. Then it will be taken care of and you can move on.

Once again, you don't know for sure that this is anything at all. But if it is, you are certainly not alone! Up to 80% of sexually active people will have HPV at some point in their lives. That is literally millions of people here in the US, and billions around the world. And there are tons of people who have it (including me) posting on this board.

And there is no reason for you to feel dirty or ashamed. Having HPV or any other STD is not an indication of your values or morals, the number of people you have been with, or your sexual practices.

Trust me, knowing, even if it is bad, is so much better than all this agonizing worry!

Good luck.
