Herpes, could I have gotten it? - Sexually Transmitted Diseases Message Board

For one thanks for reading my post. I mostly tend to over dramatize things to where i make my self sick, just looking for a little comfort.

About 5 days ago I had unprotected oral ( mostly with my hand) sex with a guy and protected anal sex. The whole thing lasted about 5 min. He told me he was clean two differnt times that day and was showing no signgs of a herpes out break ot a past out break. What are the odds that i Have herpes.

I hope some one will respond im driving my self crazy. I am getting test at 4 weeks then at 6 weeks.

You'll just have to be patient and wait for the tests....The chances could be 100% or 0% depending on if he has genital herpes or not.

Wondering is the concequences of having sex either unprotected or protected. Oral herpes simplex 1 can be transmitted genitally ....were you free of oral herpes at the time as well?

Using a comdom won't protect you if the lesions or disease isn't on the penis. Apparently I hear one can contract it even if the disease isn't active.

I would think if you did contract it, you would have symptoms within 3 weeks.
