No. You are already infected, so you can't re-infect yourself. You do not need to take any special precautions when touching yourself because it is unlikely that the warts will spread to areas other than your genitals.

Everyone is different, sometimes they go away on their own, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they stay the same, sometimes they get worse. There is just no way to know. Even if yours do go away on their own, it can take awhile, around two years or more.

No big deal. If they get worse, you can have them taken care of then. If you notice some patches that the doctor doesn't, point them out. If they are too small or hard to see, it really won't make any difference if they aren't treated. Because there is no cure for genital HPV, treating them is all about making you more comfortable. That can mean getting rid of the warts because they are in an uncomfortable place (like inside the vagina) or because you don't like the physical appearance of them.

In general, all of the "natural" remedies you see advertised are just scams. There is no cure for genital warts. Outbreaks are more likely when you immune system is compromised, such as from another illness, poor diet, fatigue, etc. So keeping yourself healthy and taking good care of yourself is going to be the best "natural" treatment. Products designed to boost your immune system might work to minimize your genital HPV. IF they actually work on your immune system (such claims are always open to debate).
I hope this info has helped. Genital HPV can be very confusing. I don't think your doctor is trying to be difficult, there are a lot of things about HPV we just don't know. But research is always ongoing.
Good luck.
