Warts every 3 years

I am a 40 year old male. several years ago I notices a bump om the side of my penis, and at first I thought it was a inflamed hair folical. But after some research I suspected it it might be a wart, and after awhile about a week another appeared next to it. I went to my doctor, and he said it was penile warts and it was no big deal and pescribed condolox and told me to apply it every other day for 2 weeks. At this time I asked him how I could have gotton this and he responded that it can happen to most anyone, that it wasn't sexually transmitted. So I felt relieved and applyed the medicine and they went away after some painful burning and blistering. A couple of years later I was seeing a urolegist for kidney stones and during that time frame a bump came up on the head of my penis. I asked him about it and he got real serious and asked me if I had other sexual partners than my wife. I responded no that I have been with no one else since we had been married. He then asked me if my wife had, and I said the same. He then changed the tone of the conversation and said to be sure that it wouldn't return it would have to be removed. He did using an electro cautriser, which was painful and left a big scar. But I thought that would be that. 2 years later guess what, another spot on the head of my penis. I went to my new doctor, and explained everything, he examined the spot and told me it could be a wart and based on past examinations he perscribed Aldera which I have started about a week ago. I have seen no results as of yet except the redness and sensitivity, ***** I expected from reading. My queston is, when should I start seeing results. I don't want to waste alot of time and money if it isn't going to work. But I do not want to have it removed again, I don't like being called scarface by my partner. Thanks for any advice you can give.

Re: Warts every 3 years

Still no results as of this day.Same redness and I think they might be getting a little bigger. Should I increase my dosage, by applying every day?

Re: Warts every 3 years

I just applied the last of Aldara. If I continue I will need to get a refill(I have 2 more on the Rx) As noted before no differance except for redness and sensitivity. And also looks like another is forming close by. I need some advice on aldara, am I wasting my time and need to go to something else? The first time my other Dr perscibed condolox. It hurt but worked, but they were in my shaft not the head like these. Another question I have always been monagamous and I am sure my parner is to. I am not well endowed, and my penis right where the warts are touchs the bottom of the toilet seat. Is it possible I contracted it that way. The first doctor said that It isn't sexually transmitted, the 2nd doctor just looked at it and acted shocked and cut it off. My third says it is but not to worry. The whole time I am, I just want them to go away. I know I am just talking to myself because I have had no responses to my last posts. But anyway.

Re: Warts every 3 years

You're not talking to yourself, maybe everyone else who's read just doesn't know what to say (like me). I have no idea what you can do to get rid of them, I'm only writing to comment on the trasmission part of it. I have yet to come across a gov't or similarly official web site that will say difinitively how EVERY strain of HPV is transmitted. There are a lot of people out there (kids mainly) who have had no sexual contact yet they have warts, it must be transmitted through non-sexual means, right?

Re: Warts every 3 years

Thanks for the reply. I know what you mean. Like in my posts, one Dr says don't worry and the otheracts like I have sinned against God and country. I just want them to go away. This is the first time with aldara, and I think it made it worse.
