| TESTED, waiting for the results, BUT.

I finally took my courage and went to the doctor.
Told him my story.
He suggest me to get tested for HIV, Syphillis, Chlamydia.
He told me that there was no appeareant reason to get tested for gonorrhea, HPV, Herpes, or any other possible STD.
The thing is, even tough I furnished an urine sample, that sample was not for testing purposes. It was just for the doctor to check if my urine was "normal"
The tests will be done using a blood sample the pretty nurse took when I visited the doctor.
Now my question, are blood test an option when looking for chlamydia and syphillis?
Also, it seems to me that instead of syphillis I should have got tested for gonorrhea? After reading a lot of posts on this boards, it seems to me that gonorrhea is another "silent" STD.
Anyhow, I trust that Doctor, but, since I never gave blood sample for previous screening tests (it was in another country, by another doctor, it was mainly sampling of local tissues and urine sample, only HIV was a blood test) I was wandering if it could be possible.
The results should come in one or two days, can't wait to know the thruth!
