I was recently put on birth control and sense then I have been having a lot of discharge. I went and got tested for stds but they only did a urine test. They said they no longer did exams for std tests. The results came back negative and my doc said that the birth control could be causing the discharge. I was just wondering if urine tests were very accurate in determining if a person has a std.
There are only 2 specific STDs that can be tested for with a urine sample that I'm aware of. This is hardly a thorough STD screening since there are waaay more than 2 STDS out there. The urine test method is accurate for those two types though.
If you want to get the full range of tests go somewhere that will do that.
