warts or something else??? - Sexually Transmitted Diseases Message Board

ok i have a few questions. first ill tell u my story then ill ask the questions.

ok inside my vagina(tmi sorry if it is) like when i put my finger inside like 1/2 an inch or less there are these little bumps. they dont itch they dont hurt they dont burn nothing..they r painless. even my husband has seen them and felt them. my doctors have seen them as well. well a few days ago i was looking at them and decided to see if they would pop maybe like a pimple well they didnt pop they just completely came off. it was like a ball of skin when i popped it off. they bled for a minute then stoped. its weird cuz its not like these bumps are attatched right at the skin like a bump its like i can pull on them a bit like a skin tag or something. i do have a skin tag on the outside of my vagina that i removed cuz it was getting on my nerves. i have no abnormal or smelly discharge either. now my questions are if these are warts can u pull warts off like that? and wouldnt they spread? and wouldnt my doctors say something exspecially my midwife being that im 4 months pregnant? any help would be greatly appreciated. im getting really nervous cuz i want these things to go away. ive been tested for std's im just not sure if ive ever been tested for warts. and i know my husband has been tested as well. thanks for help...

I'd start by recommeding that you go to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) website and look up HPV. There's a lot of interesting information to learn from that resource. Second, look for HPV infection photos on the Internet. They are easy to find. You'll be better able to tell by looking at those whether or not your situation is similar. It is possible that what you have is GW. It is also possible that it is a skin abnormality. It is definately not something to get overly worked up about but if it is GW, there are some things that you will need to consider (especially given that you are pregnant) so it is definately a good idea to figure that out. You do not realize how common HPV is and I'm sure the first thing you'll think to yourself when you learn more is "why the hell didn't somebody tell me about this before?" Good luck.

i have just noticed that i have a couple small bumps in the same area. Only one of them is white, and they dont hurt at all. Maybe we have the same thing? Lemme know if you find anything out.

hey capi i havent got an answer to what they are exactly. ive been looked at down there and none of the doctors seem to be worried about them. so i am just ignoring them. if u get any answers let me know ok

i definatly will let you know. My appt is next tuesday at 230pm. so i'll post right afterwards.

I never noticed anything about them before, so maybe we're both just...thinking it might be something?

It doesnt seem like any sti.. so im not really worried..

has your man noticed anything about himself, that's unusual at all?
