Hey, im 16 & my bf is 19. Recently he noticed that his penis was in pain, and he saw little red bumps on it. I dont know exactly where, because we're on a break atm, and he told me to go get tested. I havent noticed anything, but what i did realize was that, if i had something like hpv, i might not get symptoms at all. I read up on these red bumps, and read someone's post. It was about a man getting the same sort of red bumps on his penis, after having sex with his gf... she had a yeast infection. Im pretty sure i didnt have my yeast infection the last time we slept together, which was three weeks ago, but is it possible that's what they're from? He never noticed anything before, and neither did i.

Any suggestions?

HPV doesn't cause "pain." It does cause little bumps though. Since he's the one with symptoms, he's the one who should go see a doctor... check out planned parenthood.

Not to proselytize, but you should know your bf's STD status. Have both of you been tested for STD's? Do you know that there is no test for HPV in males? Do you know that an HIV test can only tell you what your status was 3 to 6 months ago? Be careful girl, this board doesn't exist for nothing... I suggest you check out ashastd.org and read about every STD... knowledge is power.

this is the thing;
we both were tested three months ago, and had nothing. I havent noticed anything, and throughout our relationship, neither of us had anything, and i didnt notice anything either.
I was looking this up and all, but if i have no symptoms, and no sign of anything, its possible the he got if from another girl, before, and didnt notice anything until now?

Am i right?

There is no test for HPV in males, yet some have it.. That means that its just a visual test, right? And yeah, i knew that the test could only tell me my status that long. I was tested for it, about three months ago.
