How many people on here have used Aldara and it worked. I keep putting using it off because I'm scared that it will make more warts and I wont get rid of them. I just had co2 laser surgery and its worked so far but he left 4 warts on accident and I wanted to get rid of them.

my doctor gave me aldara to use when i was diagnosed with warts in January 2006. i used it for about 10 weeks with no results. the doctor then started to use acid on them and they would grow back within a couple of days. she told me not to use the aldara while i was on the acid treatment because of irritation but i did anyway. within a week, all of my warts were gone-including the ones around my rectum. when i went back to her for another acid treatment she asked how they went away so well (because she thought since the acid wasn't working either, i would have to have them surgically removed) and i told her i used both methods. she said "now i know i told you not to use the aldara while we were doing the acid too, but i have NEVER seen warts clear up like that within a week!" that was june/july 2006, and i have been wart-free since. so basically i guess what im saying is that aldara alone didn't work for me, but it didn't make me get more.

Aldara is a very good drug. It will do the job. Make sure you only use it on the wart and not on your skin around it. Maybe use a long qtip. It could burn if you get it on your skin around the area after a while if you keep doing it. That is just one of the side effects! Dont be scared to use it! It wont make more warts, I think that could happen in very few cases! Just use it as directed and you should have good results!

My doctor gave me Aldara back in 1996 when it was brand new. In fact, it wasn't even on the market yet, and I used it kind of like a trial. Anyways, I don't remember how long I was using it...I think 3 x per week for a few weeks. And, it totally cured me. I haven't gotten any warts in 11 years.!!! I don't know how exactly it worked, but, my doc said that it helped my body to attack the warts and now my body is immune to them. Apparently, my body produced antibodies to fight the warts off....Although, I still carry the virus, I have no symptoms...I would highly recommend this treatment....
