I've only ever had one partner in my life. I've been sexually active with my partner for almost two years now, but I started having problems around August when he came back from vacation. I am a girl, and I think I may have genital herpes but I'm not sure. I've read about it online, and well, i'm still not sure and I know I should get myself over to a doctor as soon as possible. Sometime in September was the first time I got these weird symtoms. It started as an itch close to the vaginal openning, then it started getting itchy all over. But, it was also at that same time, I started my period and using pads. THen I got these rashes all over, on the sides, and sexual intercourse was really painful. I thought maybe it was just the pads irritating my skin. However, today, it is starting to itch again in the same spot, right at the openning of the vagina. I put on some monistat cream, and it burned kinda bad. Does anyone have any advice, or any clue as to what it could be if it is not herpes? I asked my boyfriend if he'd had sex with anyone while he was away, of course he says no, but I don't know. I've never been with anyone else, so if I am positive, then he was definitely the one I got it from. Please let me know, thanks
