Used too much Aldara I think, help? - Sexually Transmitted Diseases Message Board

I used one packet and now I can barely walk because everything is so irritated and painful. All I can do is soak in my bath and put vitamin A and D cream on which hardly helps.

Its been 2 days. What can I do? I'm swollen, red and in pain. Is this gonna go away soon?

Ok so now I'm in the ER on the advice of my dr's office. Since my obgyn isn't in they told me to come here.

On a scale of 1 to 10 the pain is definitely a 10. I hope they numb me before they go poking around down there.

Well apparently its an infection from shaving... I've been shaving my vulva since I was 15 (I'm 23 now) and have NEVER had anything like this.

God, it hurts.

I have heard that Aldara can cause severe irritation, even if used correctly. I don't have terribly many details to offer, I'm afraid.

I've also been incorrectly diagnosed with skin infections twice. Did they find an actual inflammed cut? What did they tell you to do?

They took a couple cultures and put me on antibiotics and hydrocortisone cream.

It seems to be helping, I can actually pee without crying now.
