| Strange rash on scrotum.
It started last wednesday, I had a slight burning at the tip of my penis when I urinated. It was very very mild, kind of like the result of irritation from rubbing on boxers etc, it cleared in a couple hours so I thought nothing of it. The next day I noticed an itching in between my thighs, nothing new I itch there quite often as I have sensitive skin.
The itching spread to the undeside of my scrotum, just up to the anus, and a bit on the buttocks (inside). It became more severe. It seems as though the itching is mainly in places where sweat tends to build, and seems to itch more when as i sweat more.
A day later the itching was almost gone, and now yesterday it came back. Today I noticed many little bumps on my scrotum and shaft of my penis. The trave up the shaft but are more concentrated at the base. There doesnt seem to be any on the top side of the shaft or head. They seem to be on hair follicles. Almost every single one. I if I pull the hairs slightly I can see that they come right out of the center of the bumps.
They arent sensitive to the touch, and only seem to itch if sweat builds up or if pressure is applied to them. The itching very similarily resembles razor burn.
Is this an STD? Or could it be some sort of fungas that effects hair follicles or something, and how could I have gotten it without engaging in any sexual activity in over just under 3 years.
Im going to make a call to my doctor tomorrow but in the meantime am seeking any thoughts or ideas any of you might have.
