After a week i began to have white patches on my throat also lymph nodes in the neck. Went to doctor got antibotics. Doctor said it is just bad throat. But i didn't tell the doctor i kissed a girl. Doctor also did a throat culture, but they didn't tell me anything. After a week i begin to have shoulder aches. I also get tingling feeling all over my body sometimes, headache, My eyes hurt from the top and also when my eyes hurt i get headache which makes me not want to do anything. Also i don't eat like i used to. I asked the girl i kissed that if she has any disease she said no. Re: what kind of disease can you get from kissing

There aren't many diseases you get from kissing that you couldn't catch by shaking hands, sitting next to somebody, or eating together. Whatever is wrong with you, I don't think that's how you caught it. The sore throat, maybe, but probably not the rest of it.

Red face Re: what kind of disease can you get from kissing

I have the exact same thing wrong with me and it is getting me really down. I have had this for about two or three years now. It has gotten better at times, but it always gets worse when my immune system is down.
I have been to many doctors and all of them seem to think I am crazy. This thing has made me very angry and very depressed. I went to a shrink for ahwile but he just gave me a bunch of anti-anxiety drugs...quit taking those.
The reason I have anxiety is this disease.
I'm 38 and very active successful and have dated the hottest women...my relationships always end because of this weird disease...they have complained of the same symptoms but they won't talk to me about it much after they realize they have something. This sends me into a deep depression.
I know I have herpes on my lips, and I have had the HPV on my penis and lips. All of my doctors say I am fine, but this is not fine and it is costing me my relationships and happiness with women....I have even told women that I have HPV and Herpes and they are fine with that, until they get this kissing disease that you have described so perfectly.
I think, the problem is YEAST and the HPV...I am convinced that HPV can infect any and all human tissue...if you HPV in your mouth from oral sex (which does happen) you swallow that virus and it can infect all tissues in your digestive system and it can spread to other tissues. A few years ago doctors were saying HPV is only genital, but now they are learning (I have known for a long time) that HPV is oral as well!!!
But, there is something with YEAST that is causing this I think, it's hard to pinpoint this stuff. I took diflucan for a week or two, which seemed to help, but my doctor said that was enough of that, he said it wasn't contagious, so I kissed my girlfriend, but my yeast keeps coming back. And at the time I had a girlfriend, which wasn't on diflucan, so I probably passed this back and forth...
Not quite strong enough for the doc to say its yeast, but I wake up after a long sleep and my mouth is covered with creamy paste that has to be yeasts. This yeast is also attacking my entire system and digestive track.
I think I should try about six months of anti fungal drugs and no kissing...then maybe I will be cured, but I could get this again right away...More people have this problem than you think, they just don't say anything about it or it is so mild (immune systems fight it) that they don't know it is a problem.
I hope someone out there can figure this thing out...
If anyone knows some good doctors please let us know...Most doctors just give out pain meds and anti biotics...
I think it is time the anti fungals are put into play

Re: what kind of disease can you get from kissing

Provided neither of you had open wounds or sores in your mouth, the only things you can get from kissing are the same viruses you can get just from being around other people -- colds, flus, strep throat, mononucleosis, etc. Conceivably, it is possible to transmit oral herpes (cold sores) through kissing, but by the time you reach adulthood, you have almost certainly been exposed to it already and have either developed immunity or have experienced cold sores. It sounds like your symptoms could be a reaction to all the stress you are feeling about this.

Imagine a vaginal yeast infection that is very persistent and never fully goes away...imagine vaginal cysts and warts...
Now, imagine that in your mouth and throat...what treatments are there for that sort of thing?
This is what I am talking about, and it is very seriously exactly like a vaginal infection of the mouth and throat....
