Exclamation STDs from hand contact with sex toys

Hi there

Strange question but here goes. My boyfriend recently visited Amsterdam and him and his mates went to one of those public sex shows. The woman putting on the show got him to hold the vibrator she had been using. About 15 minutes later he ate some chips with his hands. He is now completely paranoid he might have caught an STD from this. Is this possible/likely? He has no symptoms.

I'll bet it is.. if anything he could have some dicky bacteria.. but if he's paranoid he should see a doctor.. I would think it isn't too likely.. considering it wouldn't have been sexually transmitted.. as most std's are..

Re: STDs from hand contact with sex toys

I'll never say never, but it is EXTREMELY unlikely that he contracted an STD. Provided he did not have open wounds on his hands, there is no way the virus could have entered his system while he was holding the vibrator. Viruses and bacteria die pretty quickly once they're outside of the body, so the 15 minutes before he ate should have been plenty of time for anything that WAS on his hands to die. In the already very unlikely situation that something made its way into his mouth, the chances that it made it into his system from there are still pretty low.

Re: STDs from hand contact with sex toys

hi,

s=sexual

t=transmitted

d=disease

Very unlikely that he has caught something from the "toy".

If he has no symptoms yet then he shouldnt worry.

If and when he does get a symptom then he needs to see a doctor asap!

Re: STDs from hand contact with sex toys

I'd ask him to get tested just to be safe....
if he comes up with an STD, I'd dump him because I'd be real hesitatant to believe that he got it from a combination of a used sex toy and some potatoe chips.......he's setting it up so when he/you finds out he has one, he can blame it on that......potatoe chips......that's a new one.....
